In a significant announcement, the Biden administration has officially confirmed that all Tesla Model 3 vehicles are now eligible for the maximum $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicle consumers. This development comes after two versions of the Model 3 experienced a reduction in their eligible credits by 50%.

The adjustment in April was a result of the implementation of new regulations regarding battery sourcing. As a consequence, both the Model 3 Standard Range Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel Drive versions had their tax credits lowered to $3,750. However, Tesla recently stated on its website that all variations of the Model 3 now meet the requirements for the full $7,500 credit. The government has also confirmed this change on its fueleconomy.gov website.
