Web3 MMORPG Forgotten Runiverse has launched a server stress test ahead of its planned global release in early 2025.
The event, titled “Crash the Runiverse,” invites players to engage with the game’s browser-based world to evaluate its server capacity and identify potential server weaknesses by encouraging players to generate high levels of in-game activity.
Running on the Ethereum sidechain Ronin, the event began earlier this week and is set to conclude on January 17 at 5 PM ET.

Why participate in the event?
Participation in Forgotten Runiverse stress test provides opportunities to earn rewards including Quanta—the game’s in-game currency—which will be distributed when the game launches into Global Early Access. Quanta will later be redeemable for $XP, the game’s ecosystem token tied to the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult NFT project. Additionally, players can collect pieces of four exclusive cosmetic armor sets available only during the event.
“Crash the Runiverse” follows two earlier in-game events, “Eve of Memory” and “New Foundations,” held in 2024 and players who participated in those events will also be eligible for the upcoming Quanta airdrop.
The current event also includes updates to party systems, chat functionality, and user interface improvements with more extensive update and additional content planned for later in 2025.
The stress test is scheduled to end on January 17, with findings expected to inform the final preparations for the game’s full release.
