Ubisoft brings voxelized avatars from its blockchain-based game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles into the popular Ethereum-based game The Sandbox.

The avatars, which feature battlefield-inspired designs, are being offered as NFTs and will be usable in The Sandbox metaverse.

The launch follows a two-phase minting process, starting with an allowlist period and followed by a public sale today, January 29.

What is the Champions Tactics Avatar Collection?

The Champions Tactics Avatar Collection is a set of exclusive voxelized avatars based on characters from Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles.

These avatars are designed to reflect the battle-centric theme of the game, offering both aesthetic and functional value for players.

In addition to the avatars, players who mint them will receive unique items that can be used in Champions Tactics, bridging the gap between Ubisoft’s blockchain game and The Sandbox.

Key Details of the Mint

The minting process for the Champions Tactics Avatar Collection is structured in two phases:

• • Allowlist Phase: This phase ran from January 22 to January 28. During this period, 2,000 spots were made available to early registrants, giving them exclusive access to mint the avatars.
  • Public Minting Phase: Starting on January 29, players on the allowlist could mint their avatars for 170 $SAND at 14:00 UTC. After the allowlist period, the public sale will begin, with avatars priced at 180 $SAND each.

To participate, players were required to register through HeyMint, a platform that manages the minting process. The registration requires wallet verification via OpenSea to ensure security and prevent scams.
